This device is suitable for use on skin with mild to moderate blemishes.

Blue LED light can cause temporary hyperpigmentation on darker skin tones. Skin type III is described as “white, olive-toned”, and it is this tone and darker that may develop hyperpigmentation after exposure to blue light. We recommend discontinuing use if hyperpigmentation occurs. Red light and near-infrared (NIR) light are suitable for all skin tones and can help improve the appearance of hyperpigmentation. These wavelengths also help reduce redness, surface scarring and inflammation, offering an alternative for treating these side effects of acne.

The CurrentBody Skin Blue Light Mask uses two clinically proven wavelengths (red 633nm and blue 415nm) to target blemish-causing bacteria and reduce inflammation.

We expect you to see results within 6 weeks of using the mask. However, everyones’ skin is different and will react to the treatment in different ways. After 6 weeks of consistent use, we recommend taking a break from the device for a couple of weeks before continuing with treatment.

Step 4: Remove the mask from your head, wipe clean and safely store.
Step 5: Continue with the rest of your skincare routine.

We recommend using the device 3 to 5 times for 6 weeks to see best results. After 6 weeks of consecutive use, give your skin a short break of 1 to 2 weeks before resuming for another 6-week rotation.

Yes. It’s important to limit exposure to blue LED light, we recommend using the provided protective goggle inserts for the duration of your light therapy session.

Blemishes refer to imperfections on the skin, such as discolouration, spots or marks, caused by various factors like hormonal changes, genetics, stress, skincare, diet and environment.
Our LED Blue Light Face Mask targets mild to moderate spots, pimples and whiteheads. However, it's not effective for treating pockmarks or indentations from previous spots, nor is it recommended for those with a history of melasma. If you have severe acne, please consult your doctor.

Blue light therapy gets absorbed by the cells on the skin’s surface, specifically targeting spot-causing bacteria (p. acnes).
Red light therapy works below the skin’s surface to lower inflammation, soothe redness for a brighter, clearer skin tone.

This mask uses red (633nm) and blue (415nm) LED wavelengths at the same time. When these two colours mix, they show as a purple pink light.

Clogged hair follicles due to excess oil, dead skin cells, dirt, or makeup can cause blemishes, while hormonal changes can increase oil production, leading to pore blockage.
And while stress alone doesn’t cause blemishes, it can aggravate the symptoms.

Certain skincare and makeup can block the LED light from entering the skin. We recommend using the LED Blue Light face mask on clean, product free skin.

The device is 100% pain free. It does not get hot and should not feel uncomfortable.

Wipe down the transparent side of the LED face mask with water-based wipes or a damp, lint free cloth. Stubborn stains can be gently removed with 70% rubbing alcohol. We recommend cleaning your mask before every use to keep it fresh.

Yes you can! Each CurrentBody Skin device is tailored to specific skin concerns and targeted treatments.

Unfortunately the contraindications state that our products cannot be used if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant or breastfeeding. This device has NOT been tested on pregnant or breast-feeding women and therefore the risk to the foetus, neonate or pregnant women is unknown.

Test yourself for light sensitivity prior to using:
1. Check the list of contraindications to ensure you are not using any skincare which cause photosensitivity or taking any medications (oral or topical) which cause photosensitivity reactions.
2. Ensure your skin is clean and dry.
3. Place your LED product in contact with the skin. Ideally inner thigh, arm or back of hand.
4. Turn your device on and complete a full treatment.
5. Please note if at any time you experience heat or discomfort stop your treatment immediately.
6. After 24 hours, if there are no reactions, carry out the treatment protocol indicated for your device.
7. If you experience any reactions please contact our customer support team.

DO NOT scratch the light-emitting surface.
Ask your doctor before use if:
You are taking any prescription or over-the-counter medicines known to cause light sensitivity. You can find more information and a list of drugs that can cause light sensitivity here.
Have suspicious or cancerous lesions.
Have photosensitive disorders or genetic eye diseases.
Do not use the device on areas with phlebitis, thrombophlebi-tis and varicose veins or if you have a medical history of light-triggered seizures or epilepsy.
Skincare which treats causes of and active blemishes are contraindicated against for use with this device.
Contraindicated Skincare: salicylic acid, AHA and BHA exfoliants, glycolic acid, fruit acids, retinoids, hydroquinone, retinol, benzoyl peroxide, along with any other skincare which causes sensitivity to the sun or photosensitive/phototoxic reactions.
Medications which are known to cause photosensitivity (only most common). Please check with your doctor if you are unsure if it will cause a photosensitive reaction.
Contraindicated Medications: Antibiotics; particularly those for treating skin conditions, or roaccutane; do not use within 6 months, steroids, topical or injectables. If you've had injections, you will need to wait 3 months before using LED, diuretics and St John’s Wort.
Other contraindicated ingredients include coal tar, deodorants, antibacterial soaps, artificial sweeteners, naphthalene (moth balls), petroleum products, brightening agents found in laundry detergents and cadmium sulphide (a chemical injected into the skin during tattooing).

Hormonal Acne Gone!!
I honestly cannot believe I’m am writing this. I had a total hysterectomy last year and suddenly started getting really nasty, severe acne every few days - after 47 years of clear skin! I got this Anti-Blemish LED Mask Series 2.. a month ago.. and my skin is totally acne-free, feels really much smoother and even my rosacea seems to be going too! If you suffer at all with similar conditions, trust me, you should at least try this.. it’s changed my life!

I got my led anti blemish mask 2 days ago and I have used it 4 times , I already see such a crazy difference! All my pores have strunk and the redness in my face has completely disappeared.

Love CurrentBody therapy face masks
I own two CurrentBody therapy face masks, and one from another brand I will not mention by name, only to say it starts with an O. The CurrentBody masks are my favorite. They work great and have unmatched light strength. The only reason I am giving this mask a 4 rather than a 5 star review is that the noise piece on this mask digs into my nose a bit, which I don’t like because I have a skin condition where I have to try to avoid having pressure on my skin. Aside from that, this is a great mask! I would rate CurrentBody number 1 in therapy masks.

So nice!
I now use the LED therapy mask every other day on well-cleansed skin and I'm really positively surprised. My skin glows more, feels calmer and I've had hardly any new acne since then. Even minor inflammations seem to disappear more quickly. It feels like a relaxing moment of lying to myself, mask on, not having to do anything. Really an upgrade to my skincare routine.
