This wavelength has more recently been shown in scientific evidence to be highly effective for skin renewal and wrinkle reduction, penetrating up to 10mm into the hypodermis to stimulate collagen production deep below the surface of the skin.
Power alone doesn’t determine the effectiveness of LED masks. In fact, excessive power could harm the skin, while lower power over a longer period often delivers the best results. To determine the quality and effectiveness of an LED mask, it’s important to also look at the wavelength precision, LED light coverage and treatment time.
Despite having the same power density (or irradiance) as the original mask (30 mw/cm²) and a convenient 10-minute treatment time, the Series 2 LED Mask is designed to offer unmatched wavelength precision and coverage for optimal results. Step 1: Conduct a sensitivity test.
Step 2: Cleanse your skin and pat dry. Attach the mask, then adjust the strap around your head (for the Series 2 Mask, attach the top strap across the top of your head).
Step 3: Switch on, sit back and relax for your 10-minute treatment.
Step 4: Remove the mask from your head and wipe clean.

Before carrying out your first treatment you must carry out a sensitivity test. Follow the step by step guide below;
1. Power on your device.
2. Switch ON the controller and allow the device to run for its full 10-minute treatment program. The device will automatically switch off after 10 minutes.
3. At any time if your skin feels HOT or uncomfortable STOP using the device immediately.
4. After the treatment wait at least 6 hours. If the skin appears red and/or itchy the device is unsuitable for you and in these circumstances you can return the device to us within 14 days for a full refund.

I bought my mask 6 months ago and after an initial problem (sorted out by the very efficient customer services team) I have waited until now to review as I strongly believe that all skin care regimes need time and regular use to see results. I have set up an evening skin routine so that, without fail, I use my mask 5 times a week. I follow the instructions to the letter - absolutely clean product free face before use . I even take it on holiday. You may say I'm fanatical! Having done this, here's my verdict. My skin now definitely looks brighter and firmer and I have stared to get compliments ( including have I had "something done" ) but for the first few months it wasn't showing much difference so perseverance is a must if you want really visible results. The one thing that hasn't improved is my hyperpigmentation which is a disappointment as this was the original reason I was persuaded to buy it. Mine's not bad so I thought it would be improvable.
From a usage point of view - I lie down with it on and though I have a small nose, I am always left with a long red mark down it after the 10 min session.
The hydrogel mask is excellent, although as other reviews have mentioned, it is fiddly to apply - however - practise makes perfect and once/if you can get the hang of it it's totally worth it!
Other things to note is that my hairline has thickened and I have seen increased growth in both my brows and lashes which is a welcome extra
All in all, I would definitely purchase again…
